Happy Birthday Carter and Grandma Beede!! (A little Belated)

Last night was a wonderful birthday celebration for Carter. I picked Mom up from the Burbank Airport. (She had to sit outside and wait for me as I circled around and around with the airport in view. I couldn't find the right street to actually get to the airport, I was a little distracted as I was having an interesting conversation with Anne.) Mom and I drove straight to LoB's house and gave the birthday boy big hugs. We called Grandma Beede and wished her a happy day. Carter and Grandma had an interesting conversation, which from Carter's end, included african animal alphabets and regular alphabets. Huh???? I don't know either. Grandma's mind is incredibly sharp, especially considering she turned 99 yesterday! Our friends, Betty and Iris, joined us for pizza and cake. The highlight was the presents. Carter got a new big boy bike, transformers, the High School Musical 2 Soundtrack, and UNFORTUNATELY, a toy based on the movie CARS. For those of you that don't know...7 year-old boys do not like CARS. I don't know what fool would think that was an acceptable present. Please do not make the same mistake.
I have been blessed to watch Carter grow up from a baby to a little man up close. He is such a sweet and creative boy. I adore him and adore being "regular auntie." He is constantly cracking me up and I love passing Carter stories on to anyone that will listen. As he keeps getting taller and taller I have to remind him that I will always be "auntie" to him and I will tell him "I love you" even when he responds "auntie you've told me that 348 times!" All the numbers Buggy!
