A Little Something, Something from the Anti-Norma Rae
Instead of getting on my soapbox (I'm sure you've heard it all from me before), I will leave you with a link to a short opinion piece from today's LATimes. Check it out if you have a few minutes.
First -- how exciting to open the blog and find not only a new post but two new posts with pictures - and one the day before -- Emmy and Mark you are my blog heros today!!
Amen to the op ed piece on the UTLA union -- how to keep the best teachers teaching remains a challenge under so many of the rules & regs that surround education - really the heart of the problem.
The problem - opening up the op ed led to clicking on his last column displayed by its side regarding the increased violence in Highlands Park. That was not reassuring -- Emmy and Loren please be very careful out there - you are the great teachers we need in classrooms but i wish it could be in a safer place.
