Legoland

On Saturday, October 18, 2008 the L.A. Briggs (1 Daddy, 1 Mama, 1 Birthday Boy, 1 Bee-i-son, 1 Moo Moo, and 2 Aunties) loaded into 1 Honda to make the trip on the I-5 to Legoland... the following is a brief recounting.

A few notes of importance:

* Bee-i-son debut his new converse shoes.  You cannot see them in the pic but trust me they are awesome

*Notice that all the adults are wearing sunglasses.  For some reason I ALWAYS forget appropriate eye gear when going to amusement parks.  I walk around for about 2 hours miserable that i can't see and eventually end up buying horrible, cheap, ugly glasses in the gift shop.  If you ever go to an amusement park with me please remind me to grab sunglasses before we go.

*Carter and Auntie Brit are excited in this picture, indicated by the standard thumbs up sign.

*Minutes before this picture we were rocking out the music of Camp Rock and Mamma Mia.  Everyone seemed to enjoy this, minus Bee-i-son, who seemed to be embarrassed by his regular auntie's rendering of "The Winner Takes It All." 

That shark is made of Legos.  Carter is showing that he truly is a Briggs with his dramatic picture posing. 

Legoland is known for their "apple fries."  The Legoland Chef figured out a way to make a perfectly healthy granny smith apple into a battered and fried treat served with a vanilla dipping sauce.  They really seemed like a good idea.  And I genuinely enjoyed them as i shoved them in my mouth.  About 20 minutes later though my stomach let me know that sometimes a granny smith apple really should just be left as a granny smith apple.  not everything requires a special dipping sauce.

Legoland not only had awesome, totally kid friendly rides but also an aquarium.  It was a wonderful place to spend an 8-year-olds birthday.  Carter even conquered his fear of rollercoasters.  LoB and K took more photos which i am sure they will be posting as soon as possible.
