Jamo reached two major milestones in his development this week (although for some reason Dr. Spock makes no mention of these milestones). Many of you know the story about how one of my proudest moments as a father was when Carter was learning to talk with the pointing and the doggy woof, mama run, nemo swim - then one day he put it all together in his first complete, intelligible sentence and, for good measure, dropped the f-bomb in it. This week Jamo told his first white lie. After giving him a tub the other night he was on the changing table getting dressed. All of a sudden there was a sonic boom from the direction of his bottom. Jamo just looked at me, shrugged his shoulders and said, "Not me." The second milestone is a little more visual and not quite as disgusting. Kalin took him to Spa Di Da for his first big boy haircut. (That's right, the blonde, surfer curls are gone - we figured since he could now lie he was ready for a new, more professional business cut. Here are the before and after pictures.

Jamo's Summer Cut

Oh NO - all the curls are gone and he looks so grown up (as does cute Molly). Sounds like Jameo is a chip off the old block. Savor all these important milestones.
p.s. love having lo humor back on blog with E & S.
p.p.s. - love the picture of Jameo sharing with Molly -- it looks like they've come a long way from throwing off the blanket and stealing the binkie from the first days in the double stroller.
While it seems as though they have come a long way, you've still got to watch Jamo very carefully to make sure he doesn't bite baby's foot!
I it so nice to see pictures of the kids!! We miss all the Briggs! How come there are no Briggs in Cleveland? We are lonely!
