Singing the blue (skies)

Lovely 80 degrees outside and a good thing too. For those of you dialing in late, this is radio station WSAV in Savannah where we have had a beautiful weekend of weather. Now, on to the news.

Rumors aplenty have come from Mark's recent trip to Vegas. We do have confirmation on a few items. One, yes, they were both blond and they did request to "have a good time". The request was promptly denied. No good times allowed, especially in Vegas. Two, funding did go negative, but "not by much". Much is a relative term, and since you are all (ok, nearly all) relatives, can you loan a guy a fiver for cab fare to the airport? Never mind, found an ATM, I'm good.

This weekend, our reporters have uncovered a plot to give the Mom of the house some time alone. Alone in this case meaning, "Spending a weekend camping with lots of GS moms learning nothing". Sounds like a true time for yoga and reflection. Or was that yougurt on my stretch pants?

Mark and the four kiddos were seen having a wild wild weekend with Cub Scout Pack 115 at the George L. Smith State park. Reportedly, there were some pretty crazy happenings, such as "Quarter splitting" (whacking quarters in half with axes and hatchets), boating, fire starting, quick fire putting out demonstrations, and Lisa and Rob both seen whittling with pocket knives. The planetarium at Georgia State University provided reports of planets turning into dwarf planets seemingly on a whim, and pointed out Polaris (did you know it is not the brightest star? I wonder how it always gets North correct then?) and Orion's belt. Seems like a little "far out" to me.

The tour takes a break this week to let all catch their breath, before heading to the land of the Demon Deacons the first weekend in November to see baby Brin (Stan and Jen's new baby).

And now, back to the music. Classic rock from a classic singer. And how many of you remember watching the big furry guy? Talk about taking you back, we are going way back for this one baby. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0xDrE4SVOA

I laughed my way through your post, mark. I see you are trying to give loB a run for his money. Maybe we can make room for two funny guys on this blog. I was wondering...Is there ever a weekend in the Fuller home that could be described with, "We did nothing but lay around eating bon bons?" you might be shocked to hear this...i can describe most weekends this way and I would highly recommend it to both you and my over committed sister!!
