I have to comment on a book I just finished reading. It is Carl Hiassen's new book "Scat." I highly recommend it. I have only read one Hiassen for adults- and frankly, it was a little over the top for me. However, Rob and I loved "Hoot" and "Flush" so I was thrilled when I saw "Scat" on the shelf. There are some similarities with "Hoot" in the fact that the big bad company is trying to develop (sort of) on land with an endangered animal, however the characters are fantastic. I really love the school teacher- who doesn't get tons of air time (since she goes missing at the beginning of the book)- who the students hate, but learn to love. It was a fast read (I started and finished it in a day), so go get it and enjoy!
