On December 25th we left our house in Christmas Chaos, packed up the Pilot, and headed south to San Diego for a week of zoo visiting and beach living. The whole Bruce and Becky clan got together for the first time in 2 years and enjoyed a great week in our very own rental right on the Mission Beach Boardwalk. Highlights of the trip were biking the boardwalk with Grandma Becky, the Wild Animal Park Safari ride (who knew rhino's had 5 legs, oh, wait, Kalin is telling me the 5th leg is something else, my bad), The San Diego Zoo featuring a super cute baby panda, Merle and Carter digging holes in the sand, heated Apples to Apples games, my first pub crawl in a long time, Jamison's repeated attempts to join the surfers out in the deep blue, Carter reconnecting with his ultimate hero, Uncle Lucas, Molly and Jamo doing some first time connecting, waking to the sound of the surf and ending the day to awe inspiring sunsets. It was a great week and a great trip, thank you Bruce, Becky, Sarah, Lucas, and Merle for putting up with the noise (Carter) and the funk (Jamo's diapers) that the Briggs's brought to the week.

What a wonderful week and what very cute kids. They are so lucky to have so very many people who will love them for always. Did you like the zoo - i love the San Diego zoo but can't convince Bob to go there.
