Sitting in our cozy home on Thanksgiving eve grateful for a warm home and a beautiful snow scape under a full moon. Quiet but lovely.
As most of you know we did a brand new thing this year and had dinner at Jackson Hot Springs with Mom, Dad, Aunt Dodie and Buss Husted. We missed some of our traditional fare but loved no housecleaning, no cooking, no table setting, and no clean-up. Really was a very easy day. I wanted to scan in the menu but not sure how to then put on blog so will need help from Emmy when she is home. So here it is:
First Course: Salad Bar, Roasted Butternut Squash Soup served with Creme Fraiche
Second Course: Brown Sugar roasted Young Turkey Hens and Maple Bourbon glazed Baked Ham, Sweet Potato Amandine, Russet Potato Puree, Green Bean Casserole with French Fried Onions, Corn Bread Stuffing, House made Cranberry & Mango Relish
Third Course: Your Choice of Miniature Pies - Pumpkin, Pecan or Mixed Berries served with Fresh Whipped Cream
So you can see we did not suffer much except through missing all of you. (and Pom Pom wondering what happened to the gravy)
As we recount this year we are so thankful of course for our family and friends, health, homes, jobs, and all the love we feel for each of you bloggers and blog lookers. Three specific 2007 thankfuls are: a)the healthy arrival of our beautiful Chloe and Molly, b) the successful improvements in health for many of our loved ones through good hospitals, doctors, and family, and c)to have been blessed for so many years by the influence, humor, fun and love of Aunt Gladys and Uncle John.
Hope each of you are having a wonderful day making new memories and recalling old ones.
All the numbers,
Bob & Sue
