And here we are friends, back on the air by special request. First the weather. We are hitting a real cold snap here. We were down to 73 and blue skies on Saturday, just barely warm enough for the soccer team. For those in the office pool, we did finally turn on the furnace for the first time this year this week. I hate that "haven't been used in 9 months" smell, don't you?
In the headlines today, Lisa is SURFing, Princesses were sighted, new niece Brinley is a cutie, and Rob's team is on a roll heading into tournament. Now to the stories.
Lisa has been accepted into the University of Georgia Marine Extension program. She applied and then won the lottery again to get in. On a related note, we hope she turns 18 soon so she can buy megaball tickets. In this program, Lisa will go out in a hands on, feet in program to study the marine life here in coastal Georgia. Her first time out was yesterday and she had a great time! She saw dolphins, tons of horseshoe crabs, and lots of other marine life. She will now attend two Saturdays a month through next summer and finish with a week long summer camp. A link to the wiki will be posted in the next update so you all can take a peek at the program and follow along on her adventures.
Princesses were sighted yesterday at the Savannah Civic Center. Rob, Emma, Cody, and two friends all confirmed the sighting of all the Disney princesses. The Disney on Ice princess tour was in town and man what a good time! It was also funny to see the beast take an untimely and unplanned slip on his backside while trying to be scary! Cody mostly wanted to see more action, but his main attraction was at the cotton candy stand.
Last weekend, the Fuller tour was on the road again, this time to Winston-Salem, NC, home of the vaunted Demon Deacons. We spent the weekend with Stan and Jenny Fuller and their kids, including our newest niece, Brinley (Picture of Stan and family at the top). Stan is in his second year of med school and is doing well. They will be returning the favor next week, as they come out to the big SAV for turkey day. The five and a half hour drive (a two-movie hit parade in our terms) was a non-issue.
Rob's team finished the regular season on a win and heads into tournament this coming weekend. He plays a mean left defender position and is improving on the attack line!
Lisa's team will also be in tournament, but they will be without their star sixth grader, LEF, as she will be at Junior Jubilee at the storied camp Low.
And now for a commercial. Hey, we have to pay the bills, right? Have you always dreamed of owning your very own telecommunications billing platform? Well, now is your chance! Rumor has it that Mark knows a guy who is selling! For a few hundred million, you too can own the dream! And hey, I might get to keep my job!

Thanks for the great update - glad you are on the air this week. Talked to Lisa yesterday and the experience sounded great. I would love to see the dolphins! What a good man to take five kids to Disney on Ice (Princess tour no less)by yourself. Sounds like all is well and all very busy per usual - take good care of each other and know we love you all.
so i am taking my vote back...when we started the blog i called loB the briggybunch funnyman but mark you have really given him a run for his money. in fact i think you have taken a strong lead. your posts and comments crack me up. you know how people type lol (laugh out loud) to express appreciation for a good online joke...i can't even do that because it doesn't seem like enough. i actually did LAUGH OUT LOUD today while reading your newscast...good work mark...blog on brother.
