The Heart Project

I thought since Emmy did not have to do her blog assignment from Brendan about the wonders and joys of Montana (great idea by the way) due to some highly irregular voting patterns in the final days of the great Montana card referendum, I would give all bloggers an assignment. This is called a heart map. It is one part of a project a give my kids as a brainstorming activity before they began writing their memoirs. Here is the assignment and if you chose to complete it you will be given 100 blog points and we can all began to play where's waldo with the heart maps. Where is your "Flathead Lake". Where is your "Pom-Pom and Grandma Martha's Education Fund". Ect. Here are the directions: "On the output side of the E.E. Cummings poem, "I carry your heart with me...", create a circle (heart) map brainstorming the people, ideas, and items you carry in your heart. Dig deep for memories both happy and sad, moments large and small, and loves profound and inconsequential to place in your heart map. Questions to help mine your heart: What has stayed in your heart? What memories, moments, people, animals, objects, places, books, fears, scars, friends, siblings, parents, grandparents, teachers, other people, journeys, secrets, dreams, crushes, relationships, comforts, learning experiences? What is in the center? The edges? What's in your heart?
Good Luck
